ABOUT US
Built upon the concepts of “Liberta, Equalita, e Fraternita,” (Liberty, Equality and Fraternity). The Order Sons and Daughters of Italy works to preserve and promote Italian values and heritage. More specifically, the Trieste Lodge in Hamilton, Ontario works within the community by donating financial resources to various charities, providing affordable housing through our Housing Corporation and operates a retirement residence under the Charitable Corporation.
MISSION STATEMENT
As a fraternal organization representing Canadians of Italian heritage, we work together to achieve the following purposes:
SERVICE & CHARITY
To assist the needy, the ill, and disabled through financial support, the provision of housing, and other support programs.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
To encourage the active participation of our members in the political, social and economic life of our community; to participate in programs combating discrimination, racism, and social injustice.

HERITAGE
To promote and preserve the Italian language, culture, and traditions in our country.
OUR HISTORY
In 1935 the Trieste Lodge of Hamilton suffered a tragedy when its first venerable and one of the founders of the lodge, Rosario Ingrassia, died unexpectedly of a heart attack.
