History of the Choir
The Choir came into existence about 1989. When Bruno Gallich, and Maria Giavedoni, Approached the Sons of Italy ( Trieste lodge ) Executives for support and sponsorship Of on new formed Italian Choir, and that if it was in agreement the new choir would Carry the name " The Sons of Italy Choir " of Hamilton.

The Executive agreed that this was a good way not only to promote the Italian culture Through our songs. But also to spread the name of the Sons of Italy throughout our community. Four people were selected as leisons for the Executive. Frank Raso, Andrea Romano, Luciano Cavallin, and Angelo Venditti. Andrea Romano was also Elected Choir President.

We are very proud to say that in almost 20 years, The Sons of Italy choir has not only carried the Sons of Italy name throughout our community, but also in places such as, Sudbury, Toronto, Niagara Falls, St. Catherines, Brantford, Galt, Guelph, and Kingston.

Over the years we has evolved under the leadership of such wonderful Conductors and Maestros. Mariano de Benedictis, Sabatino Vacca, Sandor Szabo, Erik Gero, Silvio Camilleri, Riccardo Costanzo, Gianpietro Posocco, and our present conductor Lorien Greyson.

We have been blessed by the wonderful talented pianists, Sabatino Vacca, Christabel Pinto, and
Our present pianist Geoff Greyson.

Our Goal;
To promote Our Heritage and our culture through our music and songs. In our community and beyond. Our Repertoir consists of songs of operatic, popular and regional flavor. To bring Joy to those people, especially our Italian Elderly, who are in retirement and Nursing Homes
